Summary: Inspection of outgoing parts by establishing and maintaining quality control procedures within Final Inspection.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferably from a Vocational or Technical curriculum.
Experience with all types of Inspection hand tools such as micrometers, sine plates, depth gages, etc.
Working Conditions:
Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Performs all duties as listed in the Quality Inspector Job Description.
- Qualified to perform shipments of finished goods to all customers.
- Reads and understands blueprints and/ or work order information for specified materials and dimensions daily.
- Will attain and hold all Delegated Source Inspection stamps with all active customers.
- Assist in training and approve new Delegated Source Inspectors within the department.
- Locates reference points on parts and measures dimensions such as angles, arcs and radii using combinations of aids such as blocks, V blocks, sine bars and precision measuring instruments.
- Checks surface finishes with the use of comparison gages or by using a Profilometer to ensure specified surface finish.
- Uses precision instruments such as a micrometers, Vernier calipers, laser micrometers, dial indicators, snap gages, comparators and pin gages.
- Recommend changes/improvements to current production parts to ensure value stream process is most efficient to meet customer requirements.
- Recommend changes/improvements to NPI parts prior to production; quality input to travelers before release to floor.
- Required to pass annual eye exam by licensed optometrist.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Oral and Written Communication Skills with all levels of employees including operators, inspectors, supervisors, customers, and outside suppliers.
- Ability to read and follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently.
- Be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Operate internal computer systems.
- In depth ability to read blueprints, including data-based prints.
