Job Overview
The Accountant/Accounts Payable Specialist will be critical in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations, managing vendor relationships, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records. They would assist in preparing financial statements, conducting reconciliations, and supporting internal and external audits. They should ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Duties
- Oversee the entire accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Maintain the books for all entities and consolidated reporting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- BBA - Accounting Degree
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounting and accounts payable, with a strong preference for experience in the oil and gas industry
- Proficiency in accounting software (Zero NetSuite, Bill.com, Expensify)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing and international operations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
