We are looking for an experienced Project Accountant to manage accounting for manufacturing projects in the oil and gas industry. This role involves overseeing project finances, ensuring cost control, and offering financial insights to enhance project success. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both project management and accounting principles, particularly within the oil and gas manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
- ·Manage and reconcile project accounts and financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Asist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP related to projects.
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Coordinate with external auditors for project-specific financial audits
- Act as a liaison between project managers, finance teams, and senior management to provide financial data and insights.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
· BBA - Accounting Degree
· Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a project accounting with a strong preference for experience in the oil and gas industry
· Proficiency in accounting software (Xero NetSuite, Bill.com, Expensify)
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
· Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing and international operations.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
