Senior Engineer, High Voltage Cable Design
This position is responsible for the design and analysis of high voltage cable systems. The successful candidate will work under limited direction to perform complex engineering assignments requiring in-depth knowledge of electrical engineering.
The engineer will be responsible for:
- Designing complete cable system solutions, including accessories and grounding details.
- Representing the company as a subject matter expert in studying the electro-mechanical behavior of HV/EHV cable systems.
- Leading the preparation of specifications, proposals, and licensing documents.
- Supporting manufacturing throughout the production cycle.
- Acting as principal investigator or lead on research and development projects.
- Making formal technical presentations to customers and industry forums.
- Training and educating junior level engineers.
- Promoting safety in the workplace and project sites.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field and 10 years of experience. They will also have a thorough working knowledge of underground power transmission engineering and proficiency in relevant software packages.
