The award-winning The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator! The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the proper implementation of time keeping and recruitment and onboarding policies in association with corporate timelines and procedures while also championing both property-specific team-building activities and company-wide cultural values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Time Keeping
- Review missed punches daily and work with appropriate department heads to correct any missed punches.
- Review lunch break report daily to ensure team members are following proper break and mealtime procedures.
- Set up team member groups as needed in HRIS system.
- Assist HR Director with payroll processing on a semi-monthly basis.
- Act as an ambassador for HRIS app and encourage team members to enroll.
- Assist team members as needed with registering on HRIS app.
Employment and HR
- Run background screening for all new hires and communicate results to hiring manager and department head.
- Prepare new hire packets ensuring all forms and appropriate job description are included.
- Conduct New Hire Orientation and property tour.
- Assemble team member files ensuring all required documents are included and the file meets legal compliance.
- Coordinating new hire paperwork and new hire orientation meetings.
- E-Verify within 3 days of new team members date of hire.
- Coordinating and setting-up training classes or meetings.
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling cultural activities for the J1 Interns and Trainees per program requirements.
- Assist with coordination and communication of maintenance and inspections of Employee Housing.
- Assist with job fairs as needed.
Morale and Team Building
- Acts as an ambassador for the hotel with team members and the community.
- Meets monthly with team member morale committee and ensure team member events are scheduled and executed.
- Assist as needed with monthly team member luncheon.
- Assisting in preparation of special events such as Employee Appreciation, Awards Luncheon and other events as scheduled.
Adminstrative
- Organize, maintain, and update employee files and HRIS information as needed.
- Coordinate employee benefits, leave of absence requests, and assist with open enrollment processes.
- Prepare and maintain HR reports, including headcount, turnover, and other key HR metrics.
- Assist General Manager and HR Director with tasks and projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred, high school equivalent required.
- At least one (1) years' experience as an HR Coordinator preferred.
- Experience working in a hotel administrative office is preferred but not required.
- At least (1) years' experience with Paycom is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
