What are the responsibilities and job description for the AM and PM Restaurant Servers Needed position at King Bistro & Bar?
King Bar & Bistro is located in the Hotel Indigo, a boutique hotel in downtown Baton Rouge. We graciously serve breakfast and dinner seven days a week to hotel guests and locals. Our food and beverage offerings include modern classics as well as locally inspired creations.
We are looking for experienced and dedicated servers/bartenders. We have immediate openings during our breakfast and dinner shifts.
These part-time positions play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.
Essential Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
- Make cocktails according to King Bistro approved recipes.
- Deliver food and drink orders to tables promptly while ensuring accuracy.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals.
- Assist in bussing tables, resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Process payments using POS systems.
- Provide menu recommendations and answer customer inquiries.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Arrive to work on time as scheduled, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a restaurant and/or bar setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in basic math for order taking and bill processing.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terms is a plus.
