This position is responsible for tasks related to budgeting, taxing, and payroll and will work closely with our management team. Join our team today and contribute to our continued success!
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- QuickBooks:
- classifying transactions
- Entering, managing, and recording receipts.
- Profit and Loss statements.
- Balance sheets
Take ownership of Payroll
- 941’s, Liabilities
- tax reporting.
- workers compensation
- unemployment insurance,
- Benefit insurance.
- Review and file payroll documents.
Manage Purchasing
- Credit Card, Rent, and Fuel card payments.
- Financing vehicles
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions and prepare payment documentation.
- Vehicle insurance and accident claims.
Reporting includes but not limited to:
- Cost per dispatch
- Fuel usage.
- Monitor budgetary performance and provide variance analysis.
Perform basic accounting functions.
- Prepare month-end documentation to maintain and support financial statements.
- Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed.
- Preparing financial statements.
- Enforce internal controls to ensure compliance.
- Provide documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.
- Provide documentation for the preparation of the tax return.
- Provide support to ownership’s requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain digital and physical financial records.
- Manage document retention digitally, on-site, and off-site.
- Assist with accounting month-end and year-end tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Accounting or related field.
- 2 years of tax or corporate accounting experience.
- Must be/stay up to date on all accounting and tax compliance laws and regulations for multiple states.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, and reading skills.
- Strong detail orientation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Accurate and meticulous in financial record-keeping.
- Adherence to ethical standards and integrity in financial practices.
- Familiarity with finance regulations.
- Ability to adapt to changes in accounting regulations and technology.
- Must submit to a background check.
Working Hours
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00am – 5:00pm CT.
- Additional days/times, if needed.
Pay
- Starting pay is $50,000 - $70,000, D.O.E.
