Job Summary
KCHA is recruiting for an experienced and collaborative leader to serve as the next Vice President of Policy and Intergovernmental Affairs (VP). The VP will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and responding to federal, state, and local legislative and regulatory proposals that impact the Agency, other affordable housing providers, and low-income communities. As the primary representative of the Agency, this leader will engage with elected officials and government executives to advocate for the Agency's priorities and ensure alignment with its mission and goals.
This leader will also oversee and direct the Agency's housing policy initiatives, including the development and submission of the annual Moving to Work (MTW) Plan and Report. They will conduct detailed research and analysis of policy, legal, and budgetary proposals to identify opportunities and challenges for affordable housing in King County. Additionally, they will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and internal departments, providing guidance on the development and implementation of new housing policies and programs. Through their leadership, the VP will drive impactful strategies that advance the Agency's objectives and improve housing access for underserved communities.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, management, and strategic advocacy at the federal, state, and local levels. With a deep understanding of public policy and legislative processes, they will excel at researching, developing and executing strategies to proactively respond to legislative and regulatory changes, removing barriers for affordable housing, and advancing the organization's goals. They will also be skilled at promoting and advocating for the agency's interests while remaining grounded in KCHA's mission, vision, and values.

Compensation & Benefits :
This position offers a competitive salary range of $154,886.00 to $240,071.82 with a midpoint of $197,479.00.
