What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrator I (TLT/SDA) position at King County?
The Customer Experience Section (CES) of the Facilities Management Division (FMD) is looking to fill a vacancy for an Administrator I to support the operations of the FMD Customer Care Team and other CES units as needed.
This recruitment will be used to fill one Special Duty Assignment (SDA) or Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) position, and may also be used to establish an eligibility list for future similar vacancies.
- "Special Duty Assignments" (SDA) are only open to active King County Career Service employees who have passed their initial County probation period.
- "Term-Limited Temporary" (TLT) opportunities are temporary and "at-will" but are also full-time and comprehensive benefits-eligible.
- This assignment is currently approved to last up to 6 months with the possibility of extending.

Key Deliverables and Expectations - Successful candidates for this position will demonstrate at a minimum, the skill and ability to:
Provide coordination and support of various FMD CES processes and projects.
Assist in the development of protocols, procedures, and program execution.
Support FMD CES administrative system priorities; including documentation of procedures, assisting in development of administrative tracking systems, assist in development of electronic scheduling system, and interact with customers as needed for office coverage and support.
Assist in data collection and analysis for various projects within CES units.
Provide information to FMD management and staff on project status and administrative policies and procedures.
Support CES on other project needs.
Review forms for completeness, including authorized signatures, if necessary.
Implement CES process improvement initiatives.
Document CES processes and standard work.
Perform other duties as assigned.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Basic knowledge of information-gathering techniques and principles.
Prior administrative experience that highlights skills in analysis, interpretation, organization, interpersonal relationships, customer service, oral and written communication.
Previous experience in the use of personal computers and work-related software and technology.
Previous experience with process improvement efforts.
Intermediate to advanced skills in the use of a variety of Windows-based computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, Exchange, Teams and Outlook.
Experience with action tracking on specific work assignments and other related items.
Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.

- This position is considered Non-Mission Critical which means that you perform functions which can be delayed in the event of an emergency.
- The standard schedule will be Monday - Friday between the operating hours of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
- This position will require onsite reporting to the King County Chinook Building, 401 5th Ave., Seattle, WA 98104.
- Employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis, every other Thursday, comprising a 40-hour workweek.
