Lead Infant Teacher (Child Care)
We are currently seeking a Lead Infant Teacher to join our team at Play Time Early Childhood Enrichment Center. The teacher is responsible for the day-to-day management of the classroom, and for the health, welfare and safety of each child in the group. This includes following the curriculum / philosophy of the center, providing daily activities that are developmentally appropriate, stimulating and challenginng to the students, assessing children's progress and needs, provide guidance to the assistant teacher in the classroom, classroom volunteers and student teachers and communicating with the parents daily.
Essential Qualifications :
- Education in Early Childhood : BA, CDA, or Associates degree, or a CPL 3 REQUIRED .
- Must have a thorough understanding of early childhood development.
- Must have or get the required ODJFS (each initial course is 6 hours and refresher courses are 3 hours every 2-3 years : First Aid, Child Abuse, CPR and Communicable Disease).
- Must complete 30 hours of approved Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) training every 2 years.
- Follows all licensing regulations set forth by the Ohio State Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS), ECE guidelines, SUTQ 5 Star guidelines, Healthy Ohio, Universal Pre-Kindergarten, Teaching Strategies Gold and the USDA CACFP.
