Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting. Responsibilities:
- Work at least one weekend out of the Month.
-Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Provide healthy cooked meals for Health and Welness.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and ensure the safety of individuals.
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events.
- Document individual progress and any incidents or changes in behavior.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses, to ensure the well-being of individuals.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Skills:
- Previous experience in nursing homes, caregiving, or direct support is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Familiarity with systems for documenting individual care and progress.
- First aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to administer medications following established protocols.
