Job Overview
The Accountant will be responsible for bookkeeping, financial reporting, and cash reconciliation while ensuring compliance with GAAP. This role will serve as the key liaison between the company and our third-party CPA, assisting with financial data preparation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Perform bookkeeping duties, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
- Prepare and analyze quarterly financial reports.
- Oversee cash reconciliation and ensure financial accuracy.
- Collaborate with the third-party CPA, providing necessary financial information and reports.
- Act as the liaison between the company and CPA for audits, tax filings, and financial inquiries.
- Assist with internal ledger management and financial statement preparation.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
- May require occasional weekends or work outside standard hours (40-45 hours per week).
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is not needed but preferred.
- 3 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
