Description:
The Inspector will maintain high product quality and safety standards by inspecting and ensuring the precision of tire molds.
2nd Shift = 2:30-11:00pm
Essential Functions
- Conduct thorough inspections of tire molds to ensure they meet company and industry standards.
- Use precision measuring tools and equipment to check dimensions, surface finishes, and other critical features.
- Identify and document defects or deviations from specifications.,
- Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to address and resolve quality issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes and product quality.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing-floor setting.
- Climate-controlled workspace.
- Prolonged periods of standing at a machine.
- Regular use of equipment (depth gage, dial indicator, flashlight, optical comparator, height gauge, joe blocks)
- Moderate to high noise levels.
- Exposure to physical hazards.
- Worker is subject to possible bodily injury from exposure to heavy-duty equipment.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing space.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing principles and quality control methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching to access different areas of machinery and equipment.
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and walking.
