Description
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs and policies tailored to the organization’s needs. Ensure that safety programs are up-to-date and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensure adherence to federal safety regulations and standards, including OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) requirements, and any other relevant governing bodies.
- Prepare and submit required safety reports and documentation to local, state, and federal agencies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in regulations and ensure timely compliance.
- Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing safety education. Ensure training materials are current and relevant to local, state, and federal safety standards.
- Lead investigations into workplace accidents and incidents. Identify root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of facilities to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety policies and local, state, and federal regulations. Implement corrective measures as needed.
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential safety hazards and implement risk mitigation strategies. Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and enhance safety practices.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures. Conduct drills and ensure employees are trained on emergency protocols.
- Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and proper use of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure compliance with safety equipment standards and regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety within the organization by encouraging safe work practices, recognizing safety achievements, and engaging employees in safety initiatives.

- Minimum [5] years of experience in safety management or a related field, preferably in [industry/sector].

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs.
- High level of accuracy in conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and regulatory reporting.
- Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), OSHA 30) are a plus.
