Position Overview:
The AR Manager will oversee all aspects of the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely invoicing, proactive collections, and effective resolution of overdue accounts. This role is pivotal in maintaining healthy cash flow and supporting our commitment to exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, expertise in AR management within construction or related industries, and a proven track record of implementing automated systems and processes to drive efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- AR Process Management:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve collections processes tailored to the roofing industry.
- Oversee timely invoicing and automate follow-ups using systems such as JobNimbus, JobNimbus Engage, and FixYourFunnel.
- Collections & Cash Flow:
- Monitor aging reports and manage AR portfolio, focusing on reducing 60 and 90 day balances.
- Implement proactive follow-up protocols including calls, emails, and texts, escalating overdue accounts per established guidelines.
- Collaborate with legal teams to issue preliminary lien notices and attorney demand letters when necessary.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage, mentor, and provide clear direction to the AR team, ensuring all members adhere to the collections process.
- Conduct daily and weekly reviews of AR status, set measurable performance goals, and track progress through detailed reporting.
- Foster an environment of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Customer Communication & Relationship Management:
- Ensure professional, courteous, and consistent communication with customers regarding outstanding invoices.
- Resolve any disputes or discrepancies, working with operations and service teams as necessary.
- Use automated tools to streamline customer communication while retaining a personal touch where needed.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare regular AR aging reports, KPIs, and status updates for senior management.
- Identify trends, potential bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Implement best practices in AR management and recommend enhancements to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections management, preferably in the construction, roofing, or insurance industries.
- Demonstrated experience with AR software systems; proficiency with JobNimbus, QuickBooks Online, and modern communication tools (automated texting/emailing platforms) is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving processes and technologies.
- Familiarity with lien processes and basic legal procedures related to overdue accounts is a plus.
