JOB SUMMARY
-
The Coord-PB Coding works closely with department supervisors, educators, and auditors, and other UK King's Daughters entities to provide ongoing coding communication and support to coders throughout the organization.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
-
Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties:

Maintains knowledge of up-to-date coding regulations and guidelines.
-
Works closely with the revenue cycle functions regarding billing issues and questions regarding coded claims
-
Analyzes coding related denials to determine coding team educational needs
-
Reviews payer policies to ensure payer specific guidelines are followed.
-
Monitors work queues for charge review, claim edit and follow up issues.
-
Processes team payroll and tracks time-off
-
Provides coverage in absence of department supervisor
-
Encourages effective team member relationships
-
Creates an ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work environment

- Physician Coding Certification (CPC or CCS)

Preferred qualifications:

- Current UK King's Daughters PO Charge Capture Specialist
