What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist (Part-time) position at King's Grant Retirement Community?
The primary responsibilities of the King’s Grant (KG) Evening/weekend Receptionist are to welcome visitors upon arrival and direct them to their appropriate destination, provide information to callers and transfer calls to appropriate persons. Maintain accurate records and listings.
· Exhibits good telephone skills.
· Notifies staff members of messages.
· Locates staff/residents when an emergency arises
· Greets visitors and guests
· Maintains a cooperative work relationship with other offices and departments at KG
· Operates general office equipment including computer, copier, electronic printing calculator, telephone, mail machine and character generator.
· Cash handling
· Ensures lobby is maintained in a neat manner.
· Deals with a multiple load of incoming calls and assisting residents at same time.
· Flexible to meet call-ins for the full time receptionist during illness and/or vacation
· Acts as command base during fire emergencies or drills during the hours of:
4:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Weekly
8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays, & Holidays
· Acts as command base for all Warm Line calls during hours of:
4:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Weekly
8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays, & Holidays - Shifts: 8am-1:45pm and 1:45pm-7:30pm
· Locking up specific doors and switching off assigned lighting in the facility.
· Bookkeeping for guest rooms
· Bulletins, letters, postcards for Chaplain
· Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
· Attends all in-services, trainings, and meetings as required by Sunnyside Communities.
· Meets all training requirements as required by Federal and State regulations and by
Sunnyside Communities.
· Performs job duties and responsibilities in a safe and responsible manner.
