Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home health Aide/PCA/ CNA to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in a retirement home and assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, particularly with senior care and individuals with disabilities. This role is essential in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents through personalized care and support. This is an In home position. Counties: Wilson, Wayne, Edgecombe, Nash, Pitt, Wake, Chatham, Durham, Johnston, Greene, Lenoir.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Assist with mobility and transfers of residents as needed, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Support residents with dementia care by engaging them in activities that promote cognitive function.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required by facility policies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred, particularly in senior care or home care settings.
- Understanding of the needs of individuals with disabilities and experience working with them is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills to interact compassionately with residents, families, and staff members.
- Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and perform tasks that require lifting or moving patients safely.
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the facility.
- Excellent attendance
- Ability to commute to additional counties if needed
