What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catering & Events Supervisor position at King's Pointe Resort?
Come join the award-winning King's Pointe Resort in Storm Lake, IA! We are currently accepting resumes for a Catering & Events Supervisor position.
The Catering & Events Supervisor will work closely with the F&B Manager as well as the Director of Sales to execute the onsite event, may have supervisory responsibilities with staff that is assisting with the event, and must have exceptional time management and communication skills. Ideal candidates will have previous F&B experience, prior experience in a customer service setting, and ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
Some responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Utilizing service skills to effectively communicate with guests, point of contacts, and internal departments regarding details of the event
- Collaborate with F&B Manager and Director of Sales on layout and details of the event
- Respond promptly to all inquires, leads, through various channels of communication
- Provide input on inventory, ordering, and budgets regarding events
- Maintain a list of vendors to accommodate guests and clients needs
- Investigate, respond, escalate as needed for feedback regarding food quality, service, and accommodations
- Responsible for organization and follow through with billing, blocks, and other items as they relate to the event
- Have knowledge and understanding of room rentals, F&B pricing, assist with negotiating minimums and fees
- Ensure the event is properly staffed and organized along with the F&B Manager
- Participate in discussions with food and beverage menus for events
Experience Training and Education
- Must possess, at a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent
- Requires an occupationally significant combination of vocational education, apprentice training, on-the-job training, and essential experience in restaurant, sales or management positions.
