Position Overview
The Corporate Development Manager will play a key role in executing the company’s strategic growth initiatives, including mergers & acquisitions (M&A), capital markets activities, and financial planning. This role requires a deep understanding of the midstream sector, strong financial modeling capabilities, and experience in executing complex transactions. The ideal candidate has a background in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance with direct experience in midstream energy.
Key Responsibilities
M&A Execution: Lead the evaluation, structuring, and execution of acquisition and divestiture opportunities, including financial modeling, due diligence coordination, and deal negotiations.
Strategic Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and support long-term strategic planning.
Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain detailed financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), leveraged buyout (LBO), and accretion/dilution analyses.
Capital Markets & Financing: Support capital raising activities, including debt and equity financings, working closely with lenders, investors, and financial advisors.
Portfolio & Asset Optimization: Assist in evaluating organic growth projects, joint ventures, and asset optimization strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, senior leadership, private equity sponsors, and external advisors to drive strategic initiatives.
Industry & Market Insights: Stay up to date on trends in the midstream sector, commodity markets, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape.
Qualifications & Experience
4-7 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance within the midstream energy sector.
Strong understanding of midstream infrastructure, including pipelines, storage, gathering & processing, and terminal assets.
Expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and transaction structuring.
Proven experience in M&A execution, including due diligence, deal structuring, and integration.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial and operational data.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior executives and investors.
Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
