What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Studies Teacher position at King William County Schools?
DESCRIPTION
We are in search of a dynamic candidate who will effectively teach students the assigned curriculum. The candidate will also work with students to develop skills that will contribute to students developing as mature, able and responsible men and women. The candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating instruction based upon specific goals and objectives established by King William County Public Schools and Virginia Standards of Learning.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a collegiate or postgraduate professional license or be eligible for a provisional license with endorsement(s) in the designated content area.
- Teaching experience at the designated academic level and Master's Degree preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current practices, techniques, and methods of teaching; the principles of educational testing and principles and methods of remedial education.
- Ability to apply age appropriate, modern methods and principles of education to students.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Immediate Supervisor : Principal
Contract : 10 month (200 days)
Salary Scale : Instructional
FLSA Status : Exempt
