Qualifications:

-Use various hand tools to perform routine cutting and trimming of seafood
-Interact and be a land-based coordinator on the docks with our private fleet of boats & Captains daily to collect fish and re-supply

-Communicate with customers regarding skills general fish info

Locally owned Kingfisher Charters is a fully outfitted fishing lodge that offers all-inclusive fishing packages. We have a modern lodge and a 30 year tradition of service excellence and a consistent management team and positive workplace. Kingfisher Charters operates from May 15st until September 15th and will require the staff member to relocate to Sitka for that time period.
The job requires a person who has proficient knife skills and can do basic but precise cuts on 2-3 species of fish. This land-based job will spend part of each day at the harbor collaborating with our captains and fleet of boats, coordinating fish pick-up and other supplies. The person will work within a team of 3-5 employees helping to dictate daily goals and assisting in guests’ interaction along with processing all fish. Kingfisher Charters offers a consistent schedule and responsibilities along with opportunities for overtime.

The job requires an employee to be in Sitka, Alaska from mid May through the middle of September. We offer competitive salary with weekly tips ($5,000 to $6,000 per month which equals $20,000 per season) along with an end of season bonus. Lastly, we offer tenured employees a company funded IRA plan and returning bonus for continued employment.
