Requirements to be Successful in This Role
Our Marketing and Event Coordinator will support our Marketing Director in our planned marketing initiatives, projects, and community outreach. The position requires that the individual be in the community, modeling our core values. It requires a flexible schedule, as evenings and weekends will occasionally be required.
Additionally, there are a few must-haves for the Marketing and Event Coordinator role:
- Warm, friendly, courteous, poised, confident, energetic, highly professional, team-oriented person
- Highly motivated, self-directed individual with exceptional written and oral communication skills and reasoning
- Experience with and ability to plan and manage promotions and events
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent data entry skills to ensure accurate reporting
- Understanding and knowledge of digital and print marketing (including some experience with blogs, websites, newsletters, search engine analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
- Aesthetic appreciation for look, feel, sound, and experienceDetail oriented and organized
- Thorough knowledge of messaging/branding and social media systems (YouTube/Facebook/X/LinkedIn etc.)
Duties of This Role
Event and Webinar Planning/Management (50% of Time/Responsibility)
- Execute planned monthly events and webinars.
- Coordinate logistics, including catering and audio-visual requirements.
- Ensure timely promotion and registration processes for events and webinars.
- Execute events and webinars and ensure a positive and warm experience for all participants.
- Complete post-event follow-up and reporting as needed.
Administrative Support (30% of Time/Responsibility)
- Collaborate with other departments to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.
- Provide administrative assistance to the marketing team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
- Assist in the preparation of marketing reports and presentations.
- Be flexible and willing to take on additional tasks or projects as needed.
Database Management (10% of Time/Responsibility)
- Maintain and update customer and prospect databases.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across marketing platforms.
- Generate reports and analyze data to support marketing strategies.
Marketing Communications Support (10% of Time/Responsibility)
- Assist in creating marketing collateral, such as brochures, flyers, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure branding consistency.
- Create and schedule engaging content for various social media platforms.
- Monitor social media channels, respond to comments, and engage with the audience.
- Stay informed about industry trends and incorporate them into social media strategies.
