Position Purpose:
All KHI employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in such a way that supports KHI’s vision of providing the region’s best clinical care and patient service through an environment that fosters respect for others and pride in performance.
Shift: Days ; Per Diem employees will work 19 hours or fewer per week and at a minimum will work six (6) shifts in six (6) weeks.
Key Responsibilities [List of material responsibilities and essentials duties which must be completed in achieving the objectives of the position]
- To account for all the financial transactions on a daily basis for both the Hospital and Physician Clinics. Follow established procedures in recording cash payments received.
- Balance to deposit and remittance advices
- To calculate and enter all data that is retrieved/received from all systems and input it on the appropriate spreadsheets.
- Receive, Review, Prepare, and Scan all Explanation of Benefits into all systems to be posted by the posting clerks.
- Responsible for assigning specific payers/batches to the appropriate poster and inputting that information on the correct
spreadsheet.
- Scan checks that need to be deposited into the EZ Deposit Banking System and verify all balances on a daily basis.
- Prepare all Excel Balance Sheets daily and send out communication to the appropriate recipients
- Assists clinic and hospital personnel with balancing their journal and batches on a daily basis.
- Responsible for documenting and reporting all financial errors that are created by employees to upper management
- Other duties include general office tasks to assist the Supervisors as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Required Qualifications [Statements regarding minimum educational and experience qualifications, required proficiencies with specialized knowledge, computer proficiencies, military service, required certifications, etc.]
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Skills and Knowledge: Computer CRT knowledge; proficient typing skills and speed; knowledge of accounting principles; ability to resolve accounting issues related to cash posting.
Preferences [Preferred attributes for the position which are not absolutely required in the minimum qualifications (i.e., multi-lingual, master’s degree)]
Education: Accounting education desirable
Experience: Two (2) years’ experience in credit and accounting preferred but not required. Accounts Receivable experience preferred; insurance knowledge a plus.
