Position: Home Instruction Support Teacher
Campus: Districtwide
School Year: 2024-25 (July 10, 2024-May 21, 2025)
The home instruction support teacher provides instructional services in the homes of students enrolled in the Kingman Unified School District as either Homebound or AHAP (Alternative Home Administrative Placement).
Essential Duties (include but are not limited to):
Provide the educational services to students who have been medically designated as unable to attend school.
Meet regularly with students as outlined in students' plans.
Provide educational services to students who have been home placed or placed at home via a disciplinary hearing.
Develop a working relationship with student's parents/guardians, providing a primary point of contact.
Maintain and adhere to the qualifications, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and duties and responsibilities of the regular teacher job description.
Document all instruction times and activities, to be signed off by the site principal.
Work with student's guardian(s) to establish a mutually-agreeable schedule and method of delivery for educational services; services must be provided synchronously, either in-person or virtually.
Prepare, implement and evaluate an educational plan for each student, including alignment to the IEP objectives when appropriate.
Maintain a gradebook, reporting grades to the school the student is officially enrolled in; keep a log of parent contact.
Work effectively with peers, parents and administrators and others to maintain confidentiality requirements.
Assist with proctoring state assessments, midterms and final exams at predetermined district and/or home sites.
Participate in professional development and trainings related to home instruction responsibilities.
Meet established deadlines for required paperwork.
Salary : $43,825 - $55,725
