Summary/Objective
The Human Resources Coordinator performs human resources-related duties of moderate difficulty in functional areas to include: staff sourcing and recruitment, employee onboarding and retention, marketing, and customer relations.
Essential Functions

- Respond to all internal and external customers, as it relates to job, in a prompt, efficient, friendly, and patient manner.
- Develop and implement robust search and recruiting strategies to generate an ongoing pipeline of qualified staff.
- Source, engage, and recruit qualified staff.
- Work closely with hiring managers throughout search processes, providing consistent and accurate information and timely, helpful service.
- Guide candidates through hiring and onboarding processes.
- Handle pre-employment functions related to transitioning applicants to employees. Process personnel action requests, as required.
- Perform customer service functions by answering candidate and employee requests and questions.
- Process staff transfers and separations from service.
- Analyze market trends and draw insights from analytics to continuously make the district’s hiring process smarter and more efficient.
- Guide and assist candidates and staff in obtaining and renewing state certification, as appropriate to their assignment.
- Input and maintain up-to-date, complete, and accurate information on staff in district electronic and filing systems as well as with the State of Arizona.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of Human Resources information on the district’s website and other platforms.
- Contribute to the preparation of employment contracts and at-will notices.
- Assist or prepare correspondence and reports as needed or as requested.
- Provide information on policies and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of employment laws and adhere to all policies, regulations, and rules.
- Perform related duties as assigned in a safe and prudent manner.

Work Environment
This job typically operates in a professional office environment in the district office of Kingman Unified School District #20. Some travel to school campuses and recruiting fairs is required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a 12-month, 40-hour per week position. Extended work hours to meet deadlines may occasionally be required.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent and three years of human resources or recruiting experience, or five or more years of progressively responsible experience in a professional office environment, or any similar combination of education and experience that will enable the candidate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Professional recruiting experience
- Human Resources or law office experience
- Associate’s or more advanced degree in human resources or related field
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential
Required Certifications/Licenses
Valid driver’s license
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
