Job Overview
Established in 1997, Kings Commercial Interiors specializes in custom millwork and seating for restaurant, hotel, and corporate projects.
AutoCAD drafting and design is a huge component of our manufacturing process, and we are needing to grow the team to meet production demand by adding an individual with Microvellum experience
The ideal candidate will be very experienced in AutoCAD. Microvellum and have the creative mind to design custom millwork and seating.
Responsibilities
- Creating submittal drawings for client approval, as well as detailed drawings for the wood & upholstery department.
- Using Microvellum, create CNC cut files for our CNC wood machines
Requirements
- Associate degree in drafting, architectural drafting, or a related field a plus
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Microvellum, or other industry-standard CAD software for creating 3D models and detailed drawings.
- Millwork Knowledge: Thorough understanding of millwork fundamentals like wood types, cutting techniques, joinery methods, and material selection.
- Ability to accurately interpret architectural plans and specifications to translate them into shop drawings.
Technical Skills
Strong mathematical skills for calculations, precise dimensioning, and layout techniques.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous focus on accuracy and consistency in all aspects of the drawings.
Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication to collaborate with designers, contractors, and manufacturers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
