Job description
Established commercial seating and millwork company is searching for an experienced Estimator to join the team. Candidate must have previous experience in millwork estimating, be organized, motivated, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Read and analyze specifications and construction documents
- Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
- Price raw materials, fabric, wood, and labor for each job
- Prepare estimates in Quickbooks
- Ensure timely completion of estimates
- Understand scope of work to bid
- Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors
- Seek out new bid opportunities
Qualifications and Skills
- 5 years’ experience in commercial project estimating in a general construction or ideally a millwork environment
- High level of comfort reading architectural plans and developing cost estimates
- Able to multitask and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent communicator
