What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sous Chef position at Kings Creek Country Club?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all Kitchen Operations
- Maintains excellent food quality and presentation
- Mentors the kitchen staff and makes sure all team members adhere to culinary standards and safety protocols
- Manages inventory, places orders and maintains food cost controls
- Will assume the role of Executive Chef during their absence
- Assists with cost control and budgeting
- Enforces all health and safety regulations
- Maintains and organizes the kitchen areas
Requirements:
- A degree in Culinary Arts is preferred but not required
- Minimum of five years experience in high volume restaurants or comparable hospitality environments
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
- Proficient with inventory control, cost control, budgeting, scheduling and ordering systems
- Good organization skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience working in an upscale operations
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
