What are the responsibilities and job description for the ER TEch - OPT - Emergency Dept. position at KINGS DAUGHTERS MEDICAL CENTER?
Performs directed patient care for an assigned number of patients. The ER Tech is expected to function within the scope of approved policies, procedures and regulations for the department and organization. Will be responsible to collecting selected patient information, performing directed emergency patient care as directed by the RN/LPN, stocking supplies, cleaning rooms, transporting patients, and assisting in maintaining the flow patients.
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- Currently enrolled in a nursing or EMT program (preferred).
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR required.
- Must be able to cope with frequent unpleasant sights/smells and difficult patient/family behaviors.
- Must be able to work and relate in a professional, non-defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients and visitors.
