What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Lab Asst. - RFT - Laboratory Services position at KINGS DAUGHTERS MEDICAL CENTER?
Provides support for patients of the medical center and laboratory through phlebotomy and clerical functions. Uses independent judgement, recognizes and resolves problems as part of daily performance duties. Participates in PI activities and supports the hospital in ensuring the department meets CAP, CLIA and DNV accreditation standards. Ensures federal, state and agency regulations and standards are met.
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- Certified medical assistant or phlebotomy program preferred.
- Previous laboratory experience preferred.
- Medical assistant or phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Effective communication skills, computer and/or typing skills.
- Ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality patient care.
