What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at Kings Federal Credit Union?
Primary Function:
The receptionist is the first and last person to be in contact with members. The impression created by the receptionist is very important; it strongly influences how members feel about Kings Federal Credit Union. The primary purpose/responsibility is to make sure the member feels welcomed and comfortable. This is done by greeting members cheerfully and with enthusiasm, making them “feel good” about Kings Federal Credit Union. They greet the public through face-to-face and phone contact and serve as a resource to direct their questions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Comply with all Credit Union policies, procedures and regulations.
· Answer phone promptly and courteously
· Directs calls to the appropriate department or credit union personnel
· Greets the public, members and vendors
· Acts as a resource for general questions and information
· Picks up credit union mail from the post office, daily
· Sorts credit union mail and distributes to the appropriate person/department
· Process returned mail and make address changes
· Monitor sign-ins, as well as notifying the appropriate department when appointments have arrived
· Schedule loan appointments
· Keep station fully supplied with all necessary forms, applications, etc
· Disburse loan applications
· Process check orders
· Process all mail payments and deposits
· Check and process Express Box, twice per day
· May perform other duties as assigned or requested
· Exercise discretion, judgment, and initiative regarding transaction problems and inquires.
· Other duties as assigned.

Basic computer knowledge (Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet)

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year related experience.
