Job Title: Golf Pro Shop Assistant
Job Overview: King Ridge Golf Club is seeking dedicated and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as a Golf Pro Shop Assistant. As a key member of our golf facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the pro shop, providing excellent customer service to golf enthusiasts, and contributing to the overall positive experience of our patrons.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer telephones, addressing customer inquiries, providing information about golf products and services, and assisting with reservations or scheduling.
- Provide information about golf products, services, and promotions.
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
- Additional emphasis on the importance of telephone communication as part of the customer service responsibilities in the Golf Pro Shop Assistant role.
Sales and Transactions:
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing merchandise display.
Inventory Management:
- Receive, unpack, and label merchandise shipments.
- Keep track of inventory levels and report low stock items to the Golf Pro Shop Manager.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory reconciliation.
Assist with Merchandising:
- Ensure products are properly displayed and priced.
- Implement merchandising strategies to optimize sales.
- Assist in creating eye-catching displays to attract customers.
Customer Relations:
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the pro shop.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Assist customers with equipment rentals and returns.
- Ensure rental equipment is in good condition and report any issues to the Golf Pro Shop Manager.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for the upkeep of rental sets.
Administrative Support:
- Assist in administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record-keeping.
- Schedule golf lessons and manage appointments for the golf professionals.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a golf pro shop setting.
- Knowledge and passion for golf and golf equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate a POS system and handle financial transactions accurately.
- Basic knowledge of golf equipment brands, specifications, and trends.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Aspiring to be a PGA professional within the industry a plus
