As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for handling the daily grounds maintenance for the King’s Row RV Park and is part of the Maintenance Department. This position will occasionally assist the Maintenance Lead with building and park maintenance, as needed.
Job Duties :
Responsible for maintaining the Park’s grounds including mowing, blowing, weeding, trimming and pruning shrubs, planting flowers and watering.
Applies mulch, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides.
Removes unwanted or unhealthy plants, shrubs, and trees, as well as downed limbs.
Maintains green spaces and keeps outdoor furniture clean and in good condition.
Digs trenches and levels RV spaces and grounds.
Rakes leaves, removes trash and other vegetation from RV spaces and outdoor areas.
Maintains outdoor lighting, retaining walls, dog park, and other facilities.
Implement preventative maintenance procedures for Park area grounds.
Communicates effectively and promptly with Management, Maintenance Lead and Front Office Staff.
Participates in the Park’s infrastructure walkthrough to troubleshoot facility issues.
Respond to utility / park infrastructure emergencies.
Operates hand tools and power equipment, including mowers, leaf-blowers, tillers, backhoes, and tractors.
Manage grounds equipment and supplies inventory.
Works with other maintenance crew and construction specialists as needed.
Groundskeeper Qualification / Skills :
As a Groundskeeper, you must be hard-working, reliable and focused on providing exceptional customer service. You must be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
High School Diploma or GED.
3 years of landscaping or groundskeeping experience, preferably in the RV / mobile home community field.
Ability to follow detailed instructions.
Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel and Email, preferred.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with management, team lead, coworkers, and guests.
Must be able to work independently and assist others.
Must be able to work 40 hours a week and have flexible hours depending on high demand “peak” times of the year.
Able to assist with the overall safety and security of the park and residents.
A valid Driver’s License.
Pass a consumer credit and criminal background screening.
Submit a pre-employment drug screening and post-employment random screenings.
