JOB OVERVIEW:
The Outreach Coordinator acts as a liaison to the County Assistance Offices and other local area agencies as needed in Southwest Zone in Pennsylvania, including Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Bedford, Butler, Cambria, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Somerset, Washington, and Westmoreland. They also work as a point of contact to these agencies to develop working relationships and help cases that need additional support move through the enrollment process. The OC conducts educational information sessions in the community on the enrollment process. The OC will also work on additional projects to assist applicants through the enrollment process as assigned by management. This position is open to PA residents only and requires routine travel to listed counties as well as to Harrisburg, PA 2-3 times per year. Travel may be up to 50%
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required and 4 years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- College degree preferred
- May have additional training or education in area of specialization
- Reliable transportation
- Acquires job skills and learns applicable policies and procedures to complete routine tasks
- Able to read, understand & perform assignments within prescribed guidelines
- Communicates routine information in a clear and accurate way with internal & external contacts
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cultivate relationships with community leaders, acting as a liaison among various constituents.
- Serve as a primary contact for agencies to resolve issues or aid cases in the enrollment process.
- Deliver outreach presentations to recipients and community members as necessary.
- Provide education on program options and enrollment to recipients.
- Foster positive relationships with county staff, state agencies, community groups, and recipients.
- Conduct outreach activities, including phone calls, home visits, and community presentations as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the community, participating in relevant events and reporting outcomes regularly.
- Educate clients and Agency Staff through phone and email to support initiatives.
- Possess strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience in leading meetings and presenting materials remotely or in person to groups.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, TEAMS, and other Microsoft Office Products, as well as teleconferencing applications.
- Develops relationships with community leaders and serves as a liaison with various constituents.
- Acts as a point of contact for these agencies to work out issues or help certain cases moving through the enrollment process
- Maintains positive relationships with county staff, state agencies, community groups and recipients
- Perform other duties as assigned
