Kingsley Animal Hospital is located in the small & sunny city of Orange Park, FL. We are a PRIVATELY owned small animal practice, exclusive to dogs and cats. We have been established in the area for over 20 years and have a wonderful base of clientele. We are an integrative animal hospital- we believe the combination of conventional and holistic medicines are the key for ultimate pet health. We are seeking a like-minded, dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, with the ability to provide high-quality medical treatment to a variety of animals. This role involves diagnosing and treating illnesses, performing surgeries, and educating pet owners on proper care practices. The Veterinarian will work closely with a team of veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any conditions.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
- Perform surgical procedures and monitor patients during recovery.
- Utilize laboratory equipment for diagnostic testing and analyze results.
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient treated.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians in the handling, restraint, and grooming of animals.
- Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and animal husbandry practices.
Experience
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, pet grooming techniques, and dog handling skills is essential.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment used in veterinary diagnostics is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members.
