Position Summary:
The Director of Facilities oversees the maintenance, repair, and improvement of all campus buildings, grounds, and school-owned housing. This 12-month, full-time role reports to the Director of Finance & Operations and manages a team of four, plus external custodial services. The position requires occasional nights/weekends and on-call availability for emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day facilities operations, including maintenance, landscaping, custodial services, and vendor management
- Oversee systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and energy management
- Manage preventative maintenance, inspections, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Plan and execute capital projects and collaborate with stakeholders on campus improvements
- Develop and manage operating and capital budgets
- Support school events, strategic initiatives, sustainability goals, and emergency response
- Serve on Crisis Management and Safety Committees; available on-call for emergencies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing facilities in a campus or similar setting
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills
- Working knowledge of ADA, OSHA, EPA regulations, building codes, and sustainability practices
- Tech-savvy with experience in systems like SchoolDude or similar
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or related certifications a plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs, walk the campus, operate machinery, and climb ladders as needed. Residence within 25 miles of campus is required.
