The ideal candidate will have experience in business transactions, business formation, estate planning, estate administration, and tax-related areas. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex cases with seasoned legal professionals, contributing to the successful management and completion of client matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transactional Support: Assist attorneys in preparing and reviewing documents related to business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and reorganizations.
- Business Formation: Support clients in the formation of entities, such as corporations, LLCs, partnerships, and other business structures. Prepare and file requisite formation documents and maintain corporate records.
- Estate Planning and Administration: Support drafting of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives from initial intake meeting through life of the client. Assist in estate administration tasks, including probate filings and asset transfers.
- Tax Planning and Filing: Collaborate with attorneys in preparing tax-related documents and filings. Support tax planning initiatives by organizing and managing tax documentation and assisting with client filings as needed.
- Document Management: Organize and maintain case files and client records to ensure documentation is current, complete, and easily accessible.
- Client Communication: Serve as a liaison between attorneys and clients, managing communication and ensuring client needs are promptly addressed.
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, or completion of a paralegal certification program.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in transactional, estate planning, tax planning, or related areas.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and document management software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
