Kinsa is recruiting for a: Human Resources Manager
Location: Lubbock TX (Onsite)
Our client is a manufacturer based in Lubbock, TX. They are looking to add a Human Resources Manager to their team. You will execute talent strategy, manage policies and procedures, and ensure organizational compliance. You will foster a positive organizational culture while helping recruit, retain, and develop a diverse, high-performing workforce. As a leader interacting with employees every day, you will support company leadership, and ensure the integrity and consistency of HR programs.
- Relevant Bachelors degree and 10 years of progressive HR experience in a food production/processing operation. Excellent knowledge of state, federal and California employment law.
Compensation/Benefits:
- $115-120k base salary plus bonus

Key Responsibilities and Goals:
- Partner with plant and corporate leaders to achieve optimal workforce planning. Work to develop innovative recruitment and talent pipeline strategies and metrics.
- Work with Training Manager to facilitate onboarding and integration of new employees, nurture and grow high-potential talent, administer a comprehensive performance management program. and ensure compliance with company and regulatory training requirements.
- Drive learning and development initiatives to Provide leadership on employee relations and compliance issues. Champion employee engagement and retention.
- Support payroll, performance management, annual employee open enrollment process and other critical HR, regulatory and administrative processes.
- Monitor compliance with wage and hour regulations, ensuring uniform compensation practices in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Partner with the Corporate Safety Manager to support workers' compensation and wellness initiatives.
Competencies Needed for Success:
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree. Relevant certifications like SPHR highly preferred.
- 10 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing operation. Strong understanding of safety, performance management, recruiting and payroll.
- In-depth knowledge of California and federal labor laws, including wage & hour, FLSA, EEO, FMLA, and workers' compensation.
- Expertise in HR management systems (HRMS) and technology tools.
