Kinship House is actively seeking a part-time (.5 FTE) Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team of committed, dynamic individuals!

Kinship House is a regional non-profit outpatient mental health provider addressing the mental health needs of the most vulnerable children in our local child welfare system.

Salary: $21.63 - $24.02 per hour, commensurate with skill and experience

Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Coordinator at Kinship House works closely with the Clinical Director, as this position’s primary focus is developing, coordinating and managing quality assurance/utilization and regulatory compliance functions for the clinical team. The Quality Assurance Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Clinical Director and other clinical team members as assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage ongoing Quality Assurance with oversight from the Clinical Director, including the co-facilitation of triannual quality assurance reviews of clinical charts
  • Engage in proactive, regular review of internal systems to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Lead coordinator for site certification through OHA
  • In collaboration with the Clinical Director, monitors and ensures program service quality through:
  • Gathering and assessing client demographics and outcome data (MOTS, ACORN, etc.)
  • Ongoing review of current clinical documentation forms and subsequent updating as needed
  • Inventory and update assessment tools in collaboration with the Clinical Director
  • Maintain an understanding of clinical record guidelines and support the maintenance of accurate records, files, and program forms
  • Adhere to HIPAA & APA Code of Ethics Requirements
  • Attends internal/external meetings as required/needed
  • Provides administrative support as needed to the Clinical Director and back up support to Intake Coordinator, including cross training on intake assignment process
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Familiarity with OARS, HIPAA, APA Code of Ethics
  • Familiarity with Medicaid documentation
  • Knowledge of typical procedures and workflows in a community mental health setting
  • Systems understanding of foster-care, adoption, reunification and other child welfare and related court practices

Education and Experience:

  • A Qualified Mental Health Associate is preferred (QMHA).
  • Two years’ experience in administrative coordination in a healthcare setting is preferred
  • Proficiency in computer hardware and software at a level to effectively perform the job functions including intermediate database skills
  • Ability to interpret the OARs and other regulatory mandates
