We are looking for a Power Plant Operator to safely and efficiently generate electricity and steam energy. This hands-on role involves operating and supervising boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment while ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and operate power plant equipment under normal and emergency conditions.
- Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
- Maintain detailed records and reports on plant activities.
Background:
- 3-5 years of experience in a power plant, US Navy, or merchant shipping environment.
- Hands-on knowledge of control room operations, boilers, high/low-pressure auxiliary systems, troubleshooting, boiler mechanics, blueprint reading, and pipe fitting.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures, operating orders, work permits, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Must HAVE*
- Boiler License or able to obtain within first 6-months of employment.
