Summary of Position: A DAPA must be able to meet all the minimum qualifications required for the ADAC job descriptions. The role of the DAPA is a nonexempt position, and it is responsible for performing various duties related to dental patient care directed b y the DAC/Dental Director. Responsible for preparing and submitting school forms to DAC. Responsible for explaining exams to parents and making follow-up appointments for the Dental Access Program children. Crossed-trained with Dental Liaison and PSR

Performance Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
- Communicate effectively and interact in a friendly, professional manner with a diverse range of people
- Knowledge of dental office protocols/procedures
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate and work effectively
- Familiarity with basic computer operations, the appropriate software Microsoft (Word/Excel/Power Point)
- Ability to work successfully with minimum supervision
- Ability to maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance
- MUST BE BILINGUAL.
- Schedule patients for efficient use of doctor and staff time.
- Prepare for information from NC tracks to check for current Medicaid status and date of last claim for the 6-month check.
- Performs various duties when school children attend mobile unit/ dental office, (Such as) processing radiographs, making copies, data entry, and reports.
- Call all parents explaining their child's dental visit with Kintegra Health, and communicate the importance of the follow-up treatments with Kintegra Health.
- Following up with parents to find out why they didn’t keep an appointment
- Reporting with Excel, all calls, treatments, and Census.
- Completes bags for upcoming school visits, Head Start, community events, etc.
- Attending health fairs when needed- maybe on Saturdays
- Conducts self per Kintegra Health employee manual
- Maintains the strictest confidentiality: adheres to all HIPPA guidelines/regulations.
