Kiosk Information Systems is looking for a dynamic Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer. This position facilitates the transfer of kiosk designs from the product development group to the manufacturing organization while maintaining proper product functionality, quality, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Individual will be creative and capable of applying sound engineering principals to the development of assembly processes that can be applied across families of custom and semi-custom kiosks. Candidates will be challenged with a fast pace environment and a wide variety of projects.

Manufacturing Engineer
Kiosk Information Systems is looking for a dynamic Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer. This position facilitates the transfer of kiosk designs from the product development group to the manufacturing organization while maintaining proper product functionality, quality, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Individual will be creative and capable of applying sound engineering principals to the development of assembly processes that can be applied across families of custom and semi-custom kiosks. Candidates will be challenged with a fast pace environment and a wide variety of projects.
Responsibilities
- Monitor quality KPI (key performance indicator) dashboards to resolve issues with assemblies or components on the manufacturing floor.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement projects (Kaizen, 5S, etc.)
- Create lean work cells for the assembly of customized electronics
- Work with design engineers to evaluate and improve kiosks for fabrication, assembly, and service.
- Establish design guidelines for preferred assembly methods and system layout.
- Work with quality engineering staff to define key inspection points for components and final assemblies.
- Develop assembly documentation and provide training to production team.
- Create designs for assembly fixtures as needed.
- Work with vendors to ensure proper manufacturing of components or assemblies.
- Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Ability to identify and lead continuous improvement projects.
- Ability to develop and implement assembly documentation.
- 3D CAD experience, ProE/Creo preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Excel.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical personnel in a collaborative environment.
- Self-starter with a willingness to learn.
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing process development with preference for specific experience in the assembly of customized electronics and/or sheet metal fabrication.
- BSME or equivalent
- Experience with sheet metal design and manufacturing techniques.
- Working knowledge of weldment design and various welding techniques.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, metal casting, thermoforming, stamping, bending and laser cutting.
- Experience working in an ISO manufacturing environment.
- Occasional travel to visit customers and vendors or to address field issues may be required.
- Must be able to sit /stand 8 hours
