JOB SUMMARY
KIOTI Tractor, a leader in the design and manufacture of compact tractors, utility vehicles, turf care, and compact construction equipment, is seeking a Director of Finance to join our team onsite in Wendell, NC. The Director of Finance will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of finance and accounting, ensuring the company’s financial health, stability, and growth by providing strategic financial guidance and ensuring compliance with financial processes, best practices, and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance, and a proven track record of driving financial success with a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB
- Establishes, coordinates, and administers as an integral part of management, an adequate plan for the control of operations including profit planning, programs for capital investing and financing, sales forecasts, expense budgets and cost standards, together with necessary controls and procedures to effectuate the plan.
- In conjunction with the Deputy CEO, coordinates, reviews, and endorses budget proposals and discusses proposed changes.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP or other relevant accounting standards.
- Oversee the entire accounting cycle, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Compares performance with operating plans and standards, and reports and interprets the results of operations to the Executive Team and all levels of management.
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Manage and optimize financial resources, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Manage internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process.
- Implement and maintain effective accounting systems and technology.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making for the Executive Team including M&A.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in finance and accounting.
- Reviews all credit of financing requests, processes information, performs credit investigations, and approves/disapproves credit with any related terms, conditions, or limits. Authorizes sale orders accordingly.
- Establishes and administers tax policies and procedures.
- Supervises or coordinates the preparation of reports to government agencies.
- Assures protection for the assets of the business through internal control, internal auditing, and assuring proper insurance coverage.
- Supervises preparation and transmitting of letters and notices on delinquent accounts and when appropriate, determines and recommends new repayment terms.
- Reviews and recommends accounts to be charged-off, prepares applicable reports, and notifies credit bureau.
- Maintains current knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Act and all state and federal laws and regulations applying to credit granting or collection activities.
- Secure financing through various means such as bank loans or equity investments, while building up a good relationship with bank partners.
- Oversee the creation of monthly, quarterly, and end-of-year financial statements.
- Liaise with the Global Finance Division at Daedong Corporation HQ according to the global governance policy of Finance and Accounting.
- Collaborate with Strategic Planning and Sales Operations to provide annual and mid-term business plans.
EDUCATIONAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required, Master’s degree highly preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting leadership roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills across functions.
- Proficient in financial modeling and analysis tools.
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while conducting company-wide initiatives.
- Prior experience directing or managing corporate accounting activity and supervisory responsibility.
- 5 years of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience required.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Potential for up to 25% travel
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively present information at board level
