Job Summary
Take and prepare food and drink orders, including alcoholic beverages. Take payments, while operating Point of Sale System. Responsible for maintaining sanitary condition in the Café Outlet, including cleaning equipment, dirty dishes, dispose trash and replenishing stock.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
> All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa's Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outline in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and any other related training
> Consistently ensures an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the property, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner
> Greets all Guests entering the outlet.
> Monitors flow of service in the outlet.
> Cleans and resets dining area, when necessary
> Thanks departing Guests and invites them to return.
> Obtains bank from Cage and verifies amount.
> Ensures all necessary supplies are in place at cashier stand.
> Ensures food counter is neat, clean and orderly.
> Greets Guests as they enter the Café or approach the Café Clerk.
> Takes food order. Prepares food order when necessary.
> Takes and prepares beer, wine cooler, and alcoholic beverages while always checking identification.
> Operates point of sale system as per instructions.
> Processes cash, credit cards, and/or rewards points for payment.
> Closes out shift and makes daily drop to cashier.
> Bus tables, clean spills and equipment as needed.
> Breaks down and cleans kitchen equipment. Washes utensils and equipment
> Sweeps and deck scrubs the Café floor nightly. Then, mops Café area.
> Maintain cleanliness of all counter tops and coolers.
> Removes all trash from the outlet plus beverage station.
> Cleans and replenishes stock at beverage station (i.e. condiments, coffee, bag in a box product).
> Ensure all beer, wine coolers, and alcohol is locked and secure in cabinet when closing.
> All other duties as assigned
> Must adhere to departmental, organizational, state, and federal safety rules and regulations, applicable processes for safe operation, appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, in addition to any/all related controls for personal welfare and the safety of others.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)
Specifics Required:
>High school diploma or GED required
>At least 21 years of age
>1 year previous guest service experience including money handling and kitchen experience
Physical Demands / Work Environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The team member will be required to maintain a positive facial expression and body language for long periods of time. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke. Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. High volume direct public contact.
