Job Summary
The primary function of this position is to promote a safe and secure environment for the Kiowa Casino Hotel, its guests, and employees. This position also observes and ensures that overall operations of the Security Dispatch Office conform to casino policies and procedures. This person must be able to facilitate appropriate time management skills to manage the Dispatch Office and provide information to all guests and answer all questions that arise.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
> All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa’s Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, SOP’s, and any other related training
> Ensure an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the properties, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner
> Promote a clean, safe, healthy, and friendly environment for team members and Guests
> Report safety issues and hazards to Supervisor
> Ensure compliance of casino policy and report policy infractions to immediate supervisors
> Maintains a working knowledge of those Guests and/or team members who have been banned from re-entering the property, and advises appropriate individuals and departments when observing trespassers on property
> Accepts identification from all persons who appear to be under the age of twenty-one, to ensure compliance with applicable gaming regulations
> Observe and report any suspicious activity or drug use to supervisors
> Observe and use proper chain of command
> Facilitate the appropriate response to medical emergencies and activate the Emergency Medical Services when required
> Operate and maintain constant communication with Security Officers via radio and telephone communication
> Maintain daily activity reports and head counts
> Perform dispatch duties and may coordinate solutions or provide guidance to Guests and team members during drills or emergency situations
> Operate and answer the multi-line telephone system and speak to various guests and casino vendors and business contacts, and forward telephone calls when needed
> Communicate with various City, County, State, and Tribal Law Enforcement Agencies and facilitate the relaying of necessary information on situations that may arise on casino property per policies and procedures of the Security Department
> Operates company vehicles as directed
> Generate necessary written reports regarding security related incidents involving guests, employees and/or the facility
> Operate security surveillance system
> Be able to complete a variety of tasks to include communication on the radio, on the telephone, in person, and complete tasks on computers all at the same time, and in a satisfactory manner
> Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)
KNOWLEDGE:
> High School diploma or GED is required
> Must be at least 21 years of age
> Valid Driver’s License and be insurable on the company’s policy
> 1 year of previous public safety, casino security, military or other related experience preferred
> Background in Guest service or previous experience in the hospitality industry desired
> Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the regulations governing gaming operations preferred

While performing the job duties, the employee is required to maneuver in all areas of casino and related entity locations when necessary. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evening hours as business demands. Ability to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the offices and between buildings or properties for the duration of work hours. Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms, including lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, or boxes, up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color, and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and examine documents, records and files. Job may sit, lift, move, carry, and balance heavy objects and involve standing and walking for hours at a time.

Work in, or visit offices, casino operations, assigned outlet, hotel, kitchen, meeting space, convention center, gaming floor, motor vehicle, various amenities, and/or additional entity locations, or external environments, as related to business. Environment includes exposure to second-hand smoke, high noise level, bright lights, and sometimes fluctuating temperatures or weather conditions. Must be able to work irregular or additional hours or shifts, including holidays or weekends, as assigned, in order to meet business needs.
