Regional Service Manager, Central Div. Summary
Responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the Service department. Leads and coaches all branch Service Managers. Advises and makes recommendations for changes and/or process improvement to the VP of Product Support.

Regional Service Manager, Central Div. Essential Functions
- Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
- Supports and maintains a clean and safe work environment in conjunction with our Safety Manager
- Develops annual goals and objectives for the assigned Service departments to include expected billings for labor based on sales estimates, rental contracts, and equipment sales
- Regularly reviews the performance of department metrics financially and operationally to understand where opportunities for improvement exist
- Develops Standard Operating Procedures (in conjunction with VP and other Regional Service Managers) to ensure that all branches are conducting business in a uniform and consistent manner
- Monitors and tracks all OEM factory campaigns to ensure KSMI achieves a 100% completion rate for all mandatory campaigns
- Develops relationships with represented manufacturers to collaborate in support efforts
- Works in conjunction with our Training department to ensure that all technicians are receiving the proper training, to guarantee they are current with the products we sell and service
- Works with individual Service Managers to develop capital expenditure needs on an annual basis to be submitted to senior management for review and approval
- Works with Branch Operations Managers as needed to resolve issues, develop individual service support plans for customers, rental department, and used equipment
- Promotes good inter-department relationships at the local branch as well as with other company facilities and departments
- Works directly with the Branch Service Manager and customers to resolve disputes or concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Works with Branch Service Manager and Product Service Managers to identify technician and shop tooling needs
- Works with Branch Service Managers and Product Service Managers to identify hiring needs and interview potential technicians
- Works with individual Service Managers to ensure department operation matrices are achieved, such as work in progress (WIP), invoicing, technician efficiency, warranty, etc.
- Ensures that appropriate communications take place throughout the locations by conducting regular team meetings, one on one meetings, encouraging an open-door policy, and proactively seeking feedback from team members
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance
Regional Service Manager, Central Div. Qualifications Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Five (5) years of experience with a multi-branch, heavy equipment dealership, or related industry
- Exceptional Interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
- Adept at organizing, planning, and task completion to manage a high volume of department paperwork
Regional Service Manager, Central Div. Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
- Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors
- Able to sit for long periods
- Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE
