Human Resources Assistant Position Purpose
Responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources department and maintaining confidentiality of Human Resources matters.
Human Resources Assistant Essential Functions
Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One GoalMaintains employee files to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and assure easy retrievalPerforms technical and administrative duties relating to human resources functionsTracks employee referrals, processesthe proper documentation, and coordinates with Payrollto ensure paymentCompletes employment and incomeverifications when requested, following appropriate guidelines and adhering to legal requirementsMaintains and updates the HR Intranet page with the correct documents and formsManages confidential information while adhering to company policies and procedures as well as federal and state lawsAssists with recruitment, new hire, and onboarding processesOrders U-Line supplies, training supplies, and new hire suppliesAssists with maintaining and organizingreports and surveysSupports HR team with additional projects as neededPerforms other job-related duties as assignedConsistent and reliable on-site attendanceHuman Resources Assistant Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or EquivalentTwo (2) years of recent experience in Human ResourcesExceptional Interpersonal skills and excellentcommunication skillsAdept at organizing, planning, and completing tasks to manage a high volume of department paperworkDemonstrated understanding of Human Resources record keeping and legal requirementsProficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applicationsHuman Resources Assistant Physical Requirements
