KIRILA FIRE is currently seeking a full time, hands-on HR Director to join our team in Fowler, Ohio. In this position you will manage, develop and evaluate all human resource programs and practices. You will provide guidance and support to employees and management in all human resource areas including employee engagement, benefits administration, performance management, employee development, employee relations and talent acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:
- Help to continue to foster a positive and productive work culture. Organize and lead teams to continuously improve culture and employee engagement.
- Manage employee communication and recognition. Maintain a positive, professional demeanor with co-workers and prospective employees.
- Coach and council management and employees on employee relations issues.
- Conduct investigations and ensure proper procedures are followed regarding disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Manage the administration and adherence to HR policies, procedures and practices. Update and maintain the Employee Handbook.
- Function as a policy/procedure expert for management and employees. Perform customer service functions by answering requests, questions and providing guidance in all human resource areas.
- Manage various aspects of employee benefits administration; including related paperwork and database entries.
- Manage unemployment processing and workers compensation claims. Attend all unemployment and workers compensation hearings.
- Develop and manage annual budget for the department and perform periodic cost and productivity analysis.
- Conduct and oversee employee performance management and employee surveys.
- Perform employee recruitment and selection. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the recruitment and staffing programs.
- Conduct new hire orientations and oversee the general on-boarding process. Ensure all new hire paperwork is accurate and complete.
- Oversee the company’s compensation programs; ensure regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels necessary to attract and retain qualified staff.
- Create, implement and oversee applicable employee training programs.
- Engage in ongoing professional development by remaining aware of new regulations and participating in educational opportunities.
- Maintain total discretion and confidentiality in all matters relating to employment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What You Bring:
- Minimum of 5 years human resources experience in a management role.
- Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Advanced knowledge of employment laws.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $80,000 - $120,000, based on experience
