Duties:
- Assist in managing the parts department at a busy dealership, overseeing all aspects of parts inventory and distribution.
- Coordinate with the warehouse to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts.
- Utilize an order management system to track and manage parts orders.
- Work closely with OEM suppliers to ensure availability of parts and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with the service department to provide necessary parts for equipment repair and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including conducting regular audits and reconciliations.
- Oversee the shipping and receiving process, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing parts are properly documented and accounted for.
- Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts for their automotive repair needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in using AS400 or similar inventory management software.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and parts terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in record keeping and inventory management.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, suppliers, and team members.
